FAQs
1. How you get to the Ski Tube at
Bullocks Flat.
A. There is no overnight parking at Perisher so it is
better to park at Bullocks Flat (bottom of Ski Tube)
and take the Ski Tube to Perisher Valley Terminal. From
Jindabyne take the Thredbo turnoff and follow the signs
to the Ski Tube - about 20 mins drive.
2. Catch Ski
Tube to Perisher Valley Terminal.
NB. The following conditions apply
to luggage as advised by Perisher Blue:
"From commencement
of July School holidays to the 31st of August, luggage
is prohibited on the Skitube during the following hours:
between 8:00am to 10:00am uphill and between 3:12pm
and 5:12pm downhill"
"Carry on" luggage is defined as a daypack
and/or ski or board bag. These are not affected by restrictions
at this time.
3. How do you
get to Tarrawonga.
A. If walking, exit the Ski Tube Terminal via rear (opposite to the slopes) and follow the signpost
near the Man from Snowy River Hotel to Tarrawonga. Otherwise
Hans Oversnow transport has a counter in the Terminal
for organising oversnow transport for you, your luggage
and ski gear - 24hrs.
4. What is
provided?
A. Pillow cases, sheets, doonas, doona covers, towels
and tea towels. There are also spare quilts, blankets,
pillow cases, towels, bath mats and tea towels available.
- Please Note that NO linen or towels are provided for summer bookings.
5. What to
bring?
A. Personal toiletries, including soap. Take all clothing
including apres ski boots or high waterproof boots if
you do not want to walk in ski boots. Food, milk, etc
for first evening and/or breakfast, buckets of alchohol
and a sense of humour. Bring food for breakfast, dinner
and nibbles however there are restaurants available
within minutes walk if required. The Terminal Supermarket
at Perisher has a reasonable range of groceries, vegetables,
toiletries, etc.
6. Luggage
and ski gear?
A. Hans Oversnow Transport is available 24hrs and is
based in the Ski Tube Terminal at Perisher. It will
transport your family and gear right to the front entrance
at Tarrawonga - and back.
7. Hire equipment?
A. Skis, poles, boots, boards, XC gear, clothing, etc
are available from the main Perisher Centre. Gear hired
from the Centre can be exchanged easily if uncomfortable
or broken and also returned easily before leaving to
avoid carrying up from Bullocks. It’s a lot more
convenient than bringing hire gear with you.
8. When are
you allowed into Tarrawonga?
A. After 2pm Sunday. If you’re early you can leave
gear in the ski change rooms but no entry to the lounge,
kitchen, rooms or playroom is allowed especially when
